Between the Waters: Hobcaw Barony as a Historical Case Study - SCETV - Between the Waters takes visitors on an interactive journey through the South Carolina coastal estate, Hobcaw Barony. As they watch documentary videos, tour Bernard Baruch’s winter home, explore a rice canal, walk down the street of an African-American village, examine historical photographs and films, and listen to the stories of people who lived at Hobcaw – they are learning local and national history. In an era when technology increasingly connects the present to the past, Between the Waters sets a new standard, making history feel like a lived experience. It is funded by NEH and Humanities South Carolina.
